B E W A R E ....................... !!! Car Parking near Snowdon is very limited and can be expensive if a space can be found The alternative is to leave your car behind and use the Snowdon Sherpa Bus network It is possible to climb Snowdon from Llanberis every day throughout the year (by Sherpa to the start of most of the tracks) (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year's Day) Fares are only ONLY £2 single direct to/from Pen-y-Pass If you plan to go up or down the Watkin path or visit Capel Curig (for Tryfan) then ask the driver of your first bus for a £5 Snowdon Sherpa Day ticket Why not go up one track and return down another ? LATEST..........     So far,  no official announcement has been made regarding Sherpa services for Summer 2020     However,  based on the fact Gwynfor has a five-year contract with both Conwy CC and Gwynedd CC,  it s reasonable to assume the number of "S2" journeys will again be "doubled" from winter 2019-2020     The timings for the extra "S2" summer journeys below ASSUME there are no changes from 2019 and the times for connecting "S4" journeys to and from Beddgelert reflect the current revised timetable which was amended in November 2019 to take into account diversions due to work in connection with the 'new' Caernarfon by-pass     It is still unclear if the new late afternoon "S4" Sherepa (from November 2019) will continue to operate to and from Llanberis Interchange (arrive 1700).......... ..........OR if it will again terminate short at Pen-y-Pass before providing a later journey from there back to Porthmadog (last year it departed at 1810 after connecting off the 1730 'all-year-round' "S2" Sherpa from Betws-y-Coed and the 'summer only' 1750 "S2" Sherpa from Llanberis).......... ..........at this stage the EARLIER times are shown on this page (see below) but will be updated as and when any confirmation is made public - based on previous years this may be only a few days before the summer service actually starts !!!!!     At this stage,  the information below should be treated as "the likely level of service to expect" - but it should be sufficiently accurate to help you make PROVISIONAL plans for your visit     You are strongly advised to re-visit this page nearer the time to see if there have been any further changes for Summer 2020,  both to the Sherpa timetables and also any connecting journeys     Please bookmark and re-visit this page nearer the time to check if there have been any further changes This "unofficial" website attempts to show what services are available It contains composite timetables of connecting services on a cross-Snowdonia route basis where a change of bus is necessary --- hopefully it will help you plan your days out It also includes some suggested "trips round Snowdonia - without your car" You can click on any underlined location to go direct to the appropriate timetable

Summer is basically an hourly service of ten "S2" Sherpa journeys each way between Llanberis (Joe Brown and Interchange stops) also Nant Peris Car Park and Pen-y-Pass augmented by additional "S1" Park and Ride journeys at weekends (On busy days, duplicate journeys will operate as required) On Summer weekends the basic "S2" Sherpa service is augmented by additional "S1" 'Park and Ride' journeys as far as Pen-y-Pass Between them,  this gives at least a half-hourly service from Llanberis up the pass in the morning and similarly a half-hourly service down the pass starting from Pen-y-Pass during the afternoon Click here for details of all the advertised "S1" and "S2" Sherpa journeys from Llanberis in the morning and back on the afternoon (On busy days,  duplicate journeys usually operate as required) Note - the first departure from Llanberis is at 0738 on School Days or at 0800 at weekends and during School Holidays
