PS Simplon
Exercise of Public Rescue off Montreux

Saturday 16th September 2000
late morning, a major rescue operation was organized by the ASISP
( Association Suisse Instructeurs Sapeurs-Pompiers)
to conclude a three-day technical course
attended by numerous representatives of all the lake emergency services

For this, "PS Simplon"
one of the largest members of the General Company of Navigation (CGN)
simulated a fire on board off Montreux
The prime objective was to test how all the partners of the chain of the rescue
would "save" the one hundred passengers on board the paddle steamer
