LAKE  GENEVA

C G N    Summer Timetable
Daily
25th May to 24th September 2006

"Grand Races"
Unfortunately the full-length "Grand Races" were withdrawn at the end of the 2005 season

However it will still be possible to sail the full length
of the lake and back in a day
but only starting from Geneve (which requires
several changes of ships en-route and on most dates
will involve a motor vessel for part of the journey
)

Unfortunately only part of the lake in now accessable
in a day from the Upper Lake piers

The following suggested itineries are shown merely to give prospective travellers an idea of the
options available

A CGN "Day ticket" for the lake will probably be the most economical fare unless you already have some form
of Swiss reduced travel ticket/holiday runabout

You are strongly advised to confirm the best option to suit your requirements locally with the CGN before travelling
Beware - just because a paddle steamer is provided on the day for the first leg of the journey does not guarentee which vessels will operate the other legs
Timings information is extracted from the advertised printed timetable issued by the CGN

# - Despite being advertised for a paddle steamer - it is understood these sailings may be operated by
the much smaller mv Général-Guisan during early-July and late-August/start-September
(further information nearer the time)
This timetable shows the paddle steamers normally planned to operate the sailings,
but steamer rosters are liable to alteration on a day by day basis

For details of all intermediate calls and any changes of ships on a specific date - please see my individual timetables
