C G N Summer Timetable
Advance Information - Summer 2006

MPV Helvétie
was laid-up in early 2002 as an economy measure
pending finance for a new engine

MPV Italie
is to join her at the end of the 2005 season
as a further economy measure

MPV Vevey
is also planned to be 'long-term' laid-up from the
end of the 2006 season
(following the return to service of PS Savoie)
as a yet further economy measure

It is now expected the ultimate size of the operational
fleet will be 15 vessels for the Summer of 2006

5 paddle steamers La Suisse Montreux Rhône Simplon augmented from 1st July 2006 (provisional) by Savoie
(after completion of a major two year re-build)
and
1 motor paddle vessel Vevey
together with
6 large motor vessels
and 3* 'one class' motor launches

* - mv Grèbe is to be withdrawn at the end of the 2005 season
and be replaced by two new small motor vessels

REPLACEMENT of the "GRAND RACES"
(full-length sailings) in 2006

PS Simplon - Lausanne - Geneva - Lausanne (part MPV Italie roster in 2005)
PS La Suisse - Geneva - Vevey - Geneva (existing 2005 roster 'curtailed')
PS Savoie - Geneva "locals" (similar to MPV Vevey in 2005)
PS Montreux - Lausanne "locals" (similar to 2005, but afternoon 'curtailed')
PS Rhône - Lausanne - Upper Lake - Lausanne (parts of old "2 Day" roster)
MPV Vevey - Upper Lake "circle" (similar to mv Chablais in 2005)
