 Swiss Navigation Day - Sunday 26th April
Lake Zurich
 To celebrate the start of her centenary year PS Stadt Zürich operated a special 90 minute Morning Cruise from Zurich at 1130 on Sunday 26th April departing "in parallel" with her sister on the 1130 sailing to Rapperswil before operating sailings 111-112
In addition PS Stadt Rapperswil operated the new late afternoon sailings 119-120 to Rapperswil and return departing Zurich at 1630

Lake Geneva
 PS Savoie was planned to sail light to Geneva on Friday 24th April in order to take over the Geneva based local sailings from MPV Vevey commencing Swiss Navigation Day Sunday 26th April
Owing to a newly manufactered part for the steam-engine proving to be faulty the paddle steamer remained at Ouchy dock
She eventually entered service on Friday 22nd May after a replacement part has been made and fitted

 Owing to the limited availability of operational motor vessels PS Stadt Rapperswil was pressed into service on Sunday 5th April - the first day of thr Summer timetable and operated two round trips to Rapperswil

 Following an extended winter overhaul MPV Vevey was the first paddler to re-enter service on any of the Swiss or Italian lakes for the 2009 season commencing Sunday 15th March

 The static PS Neuchâtel was open to the public from 1000 on Thursday 5th February and the first Thursday of each subsequent month throughout 2009

 MPV Vevey operated all of the regular Thusday and Friday evening Fondue Cruises from Lausanne at 1930 commencing between Thursday 15th January and Friday 30th January

 MPV Vevey operated the winter 1230, 1400 and 1530 Evian-les-Bains Ferry Sailings from Lausanne on Mondays to Fridays from Monday 5th January until Friday 30th January
3rd January 2009
Lake Luzern
 PS Uri operated an evening Evening Cruise from Luzern at 1921 on Saturday 3rd January
